Identity - The Australian Ballet

The Hum by Daniel Riley and Paragon by my favourite Alice Topp at Arts Centre in Southbank. 

Paragon was truly an awe inspiring production with alumni dancers. Costume, sound, projection, music and of course, choreography.... 

The most memorable dance performance I've seen recently.

Once - musical

A new production by Darlinghurst Theatre Company at Comedy Theatre in Melbourne. 

The original film is one of my all time favourite. 

Everybody in the theatre were familiar with the story and songs, I guess. I think because of that, this rendition of the play seemed to have drowned in the sea of familiarity. 

It just felt like a lighthearted entertainment, lacking in the deeply emotional character development. 

It was nowhere as good as Melbourne Theatre Company's production in 2014.
