Oil Painting Portrait Workshop at Victorian Artists Society - Day 10

Today is the last session for this term.
I was struggling with shadow colour under her chin and neck, and was running out of time.

Barbara told me that there's an overall likeness, especially her lips, and it's difficult to finish a portrait within a limited time of the workshop.

I have to say, the colours in this painting are very boring, and proportions of her face are wrong.
For example, her forehead is too big.... I need to do a lot of fixing :(
I'll try to enhance the colour and put more details when it's dry.

It's been a great experience for me to do a portrait painting in this iconic building, and I'm looking forward to the next term.

Work in progress.
