I just love Sargent's paintings. He's very famous for his portraits, but, I think his landscapes are also great.
This book is a catalog by National Gallery of Art in Washington, published by Princeton University.
It's really a gorgeous book with many excellent colour reproductions.
I also like texts in the book. It's fairly thorough, but not too pedantic.
His bold and seemingly spontaneous brush strokes never cease to fascinate me.
