Plein Air Oil Painting

Kate and I went to Studley Boathouse in Fairfield in the afternoon.

This is one of my favourite places, and it was very busy with family enjoying Easter weekend. 

I don't think I did a good job today. Again, the light constantly changed and that made it very difficult to paint. Well, you know that's a cheap excuse.
I think I failed to capture the effect of light, which is the essence of plein air painting.

We spent about 2.5 hours painting. Again, it was a beautiful autumn day here in Melbourne.
