We went for a walk to Fitzroy Gardens this morning.
This area with two fountains caught our eyes, and we set up our easels here.
It was a very cold and dark winter day, and it got very difficult to concentrate.
That's always the biggest challenge when painting outdoor. I have a huge admiration for those Impressionists who did splendid paintings a century ago.
When we were back home, Kate made fabulous tomato soup for our lunch, and that definitely kept us warm this afternoon.
Oil on panel. 11 x 14 in.
