Oil Painting Lesson with Gregory Smith - Day 2

I spent almost entire lesson working on the metal object at the back (I don't know what it really is). 

It has a tricky shape at both sides, and I had no idea how to approach it. 

Greg did a demo. Basically, put colour of the objects first, and then trim it using the colour behind it. 

I found doing this very difficult, particularly repeating the same shape at the other side. 

I had to borrow Rachel's brush because mine was too big to do that. 

I think it's slowly getting there.
