We drove to Pipers Creek, about an hour drive north-west of Melbourne, this morning.
Our artist friend Tim's parents have a beautiful farm, and he had kindly invited us to do some painting.
He offered us a tour of this well-maintained gardens, and we thought we could spend hours and days painting here.

We spent about two hours there, setting up our easels high up hill in this gorgeous property, overlooking mountain ranges that delineate far away horizon across the entire view.

Although I was at a loss initially as to where I should start, I'm reasonably happy with this one except I couldn't finish the foreground.
It got too oily and I couldn't control paints any more.
We had a cup of tea with his parents later, they are very lovely.
What a great day it was, being in beautiful nature under spring blue sky, painting en plein air.
