We went to Castlemaine Gallery this morning.
This is a collection of very moving paintings. I consider him as the leading Australian artist.
My respect for him, not only as an artist but also as a human being was formed after watching Australian Story by ABC.
In the first room, there are some great paintings by tonal painters. Meldrum, Clarice Beckett, Percy Leason.... Also, superb works by Hugh Ramsay.
I love this gallery.
