Plein Air Oil Painting

We drove to Yuulong Lavender Estate this afternoon, about an hour drive north-west of Melbourne. 

I had called them yesterday to see if we could paint there, and the lady was very kind to tell me that we are welcome to do so. 

This is a very beautiful place. Peaceful and inviting. A nice cafe and a small charming shop. We bought some products there. 

Again, they are very kind. We both love this place. 

We set up our easels here, towards an entrance. 

We spent about 2 1/2 hours. 

I had a hard time painting lavenders at front. Also, the big gum tree was a challenge. 

It was a lovely day, and we will definitely  come back.
