Plein Air Oil Painting

I went back to Le Page Homestead in Hawkstowe Park this afternoon.
I wanted to do a study of perspective, so I set up my easel here.

I taped a canvas to a board. I'm experimenting this canvas. It definitely feels different.
I'm exploring a possibility to use canvas for outdoor painting. They're obviously much lighter to carry, and don't occupy the space to keep. If a painting isn't successful, I just throw them away. If I want to, then I can glue them to a board.

This one, I'm not entirely happy with tonal balance. I just couldn't do a tree. The whole painting looks very amateurish.
Well, I am.......

2.5 hours.
