This is a monthly event by Victorian Artists Society, and it was great to see familiar faces.
I was wondering where I should paint. There are many good spots along Maribyrnong River. After seeing my friends painting from here, I decided to try it myself. We're standing just behind the building, looking towards city.
Pushing Melbourne skyline farther back was my challenge. Also, simplifying the bridge and painting the effect of lights.....
I tried to keep these thoughts in mind.
I spent 3 hours. It was a beautiful day.
