Oil Painting lesson with Gregory Smith

Today I started by focusing on the spiky shell at front. It needed sharp edges. Greg did a demo by first putting lighter tone (subject), then creating edges by surrendering them with darker tone (background).  Voila !

I reworked on the big one at back, carefully observing the big shape and direction of its spikes. 

I also did some work on the cloths. 

I will finish it next week.
