Paint Out Day, Last Peek Studio, Van Gogh

Today is a monthly Paint Out Day organised by Victorian Artists Society. In the morning, I drove to Coburg Lake Reserve. It's always nice to see familiar faces.

Weather was constantly changing and it was very challenging to see light and shadows, let alone putting them down on a canvas. And it had to be very quick. Considering that, I'm reasonably happy with this one.
I spent 2.5 hours.

Oil on canvas. 14x18in.

In the afternoon, I went to Last Peek Studio in Thornbury, my favourite space to paint figures.
We had Chiara today. Although she is heavily pregnant, she did a great job as a model.
I think there's a bit too much orange tone in her skin.
I spent 2 hours.

Oil on panel. 12x16 in.

In the evening, I drove to NGV. There was a members exclusive viewing. I'm very glad to have this opportunity. This is my second time. I bumped into my clients and that was nice.

It was a very hectic day. My creative exercise at full throttle. I love it.
