Oil painting lesson with Gregory Smith

It's very exciting to get back to the studio after two week break. 

I've decided to continue to torture myself by choosing a cast as a main subject. Greg helped me with this composition. 

He talked about how to see focal points in a composition and create them in a painting. It's very fascinating to hear that. He obviously knows what he's doing. It's all about creating a depth in a canvas. The tricky bit is, it's not necessarily the brightest area that we should focus on as focal points. You see, it's very deep.  

I think this is a good start.
