Plein Air Oil Painting

I drove to Malmsbury Botanic Gardens this morning. It’s been a long time since I painted here. Beautiful place, always quiet. 

I set up my easel here. Slightly to the right than usual, trying to have different views each time. 

My friend Leisl joined me later on. 

I’m happy with this one. It was very relaxing. 

I spent 2.5 hours. 

Oil on canvas. 14x18 in. 

After lunch, I drove to Malmsbury Reservoir. I found a great spot, looking towards Viaduct, this time from the other side. 

Again, I really enjoyed this one. Very peaceful.
