Painting People - NFSA Films

This is a rare find on YouTube.
Very fascinating interviews with Australian painters made in the 60s. I particularly enjoyed William Dargie who was a student of AD Colquhoun. The latter was a student of Max Meldrum who was a founder of Australian tonalist painters.
Their method of tonal realism painting is what I’ve been studying with my teacher Gregory Smith.
