Oil painting lesson with Gregory Smith

Today is the last session of this year. 

I decided to do a little study. 

Greg showed me a new way of starting a painting. Raw Umber and Burnt Sienna wash gives warmth and if you rub back, it gives nice base tone for a lemon. 

Next,  cover the background with Black, then Naples Yellow Deep. That’s it, it gives warm green!  

I learned a lot. 2.5 hours.
