Plein Air Oil Painting

In the early morning I decided to go to Malmsbury Botanical Gardens. Weather was promising so I couldn’t resist the urge to do some painting at my favourite place in country. 

It was great that Greg and Rachel were able to join me. 

It was very peaceful and weather was lovely. 

I thoroughly enjoyed painting this one although  I struggled a bit doing trees at background. 

It was also great to have a chat with these great artists. 

I spent 3 hours. 

Oil on canvas. 14x18 in. 

They took me to the Cemetery nearby. I’ve never been to. It offers a spectacular view from the top of the hill. Great spot to paint. I’ll definitely come back. 

Then I took a long walk, watching sunset. Beautiful. It was a great day.
