Plein Air Oil Painting

I went to Banyule Swamp this afternoon. It was a lovely weather, 30°C.
This is my favourite spot, looking towards a homestead on the hill.

I spent 2.5 hours.

Oil painting lesson with Gregory Smith

The fourth session.

I changed the background and the foreground.
I spent the rest on the drapery. I had no idea, but Greg gave me a precious tip.

I think I’ll finish it next week.

Work in progress.

I went to Banyule Flat Reserve this afternoon.
This is my favourite walk, from Pony Club to Main Yarra Trail. There’re three silos along the way.
It was very quiet and gorgeous weather.

I spent 2.5 hours.

Plein Air Oil Painting

I drove to Murchison Gap Lookout in Strath Creek, about 1.5 hour drive north-east of Melbourne this afternoon.
Weather was irresistible. A gorgeous day.

It was hazy at first. I always have difficulty in creating a distance. This kind of panoramic view is really a challenge.
