A play by Tom Basden based on Dostoevsky.

Although all performers are superb, I didn't understand what the hype this play has generated.

Apart from ugly costumes and makeup they had to wear, the plot lost its directions quite early on, and evaporated completely by the end of the story.

I thought it was totally absurd.

Apparently the audience enjoyed it, so, good on them.

There's far much more in the original short story to be philosophical.

Also, as an adaptation, this film does a fantastic job, far better than this stage production.

I'm a big fan of this theatre company, but, this production was probably the least enjoyable I've ever seen. All casts were superb, though.

The thing is, the whole storyline was too unbelievable and the plot itself was too messy.

I'm looking forward to the next one.

A thought provoking play by Nina Raine at this lovely venue.

Superb performance by all actors. I've never heard of this theatre company before. Will definitely come back again.

My mentor Greg's exhibition is on at Victorian Artists Society in East Melbourne.

One of the greatest tonal realism oil painters, also the best teacher. It's really a privilege to get to know him and his work of lifetime.
