This is Modern Art

It's very difficult to define what 'Modern Art' means.
It's even more difficult to form one's opinion about it.

This Channel 4 documentary series by art critic Mathew Collings try to introduce us to its history and artists past and present.

I particularly liked the first couple of programs in which he explores the history of modern art, from the likes of Picasso, Munch, Pollock and Warhol.

There appears who's who of contemporary artists; Damian Hirst, Tracey Emin, Sarah Lucas, Jeff Koons, Martin Creed, so on.

He correctly mentions the most significant influence of Marcel Duchamp and Salvador Dali.

All in all, this is a great series of modern art, and I liked his style of film making.
