'Twenty Melbourne Painters Society' exhibition

Presented by Jenny Pihan Fine Art, this exhibition has been held at Glen Eira City Council Gallery.
I went to a floor talk by Ross Paterson. He was very kind, telling us about artists on display one by one. It was a very informative talk indeed.

There are many great paintings; water colour, oil and pastel.
Amanda Hyatt, Paul McDonald Smith, Greg Allen, Stephen Doyle... to name a few.

Herman Pekel
I just love his paintings. Very atmospheric, lyrical and strong oil paintings.
"Warrandyte" particularly is really a great painting. There's a great number of colours everywhere, thick and thin paints, leaving details out. The result is a fantastic painting that draws you into it, and you can almost smell the Australian bush. Wonderful.

Joseph Zbukvic
His water colour paintings are mesmerizing. Again, very atmospheric scenary based on very strong drawing skills. Look at the way he creates reflections. Just beautiful.

I had a lunch at 'Einstein 251' near the gallery. It was a great place.
They have a fascinating menu like, "The Atom", "E=MC^2", "The Theory of Relativity".
