Oil Painting Portrait Workshop at Victorian Artists Society - Day 4

I'm reasonably happy with this one.

Barbara always reminds me of the difference between cool and warm.
I've found it very difficult to detect it, for example, warm shadow on cheek and cool one towards chin, gradually changing the temperature of skin within shadows. It doesn't show in a photo very well.

There are many things that are clearly wrong with this painting, for example, shadow areas should be a lot darker.

I hope I will improve a bit more.
