Oil Painting lesson with Gregory Smith - Day 7

Today, I worked on details of these fascinating subjects.

The main focus should be a pair of short leather boots, therefore Greg told me that the rest should be less detailed, particularly the wooden log at the back and the water pitcher.
At the beginning, these had more details than the boots.

The drapery of the left side needs more convincing work.
I'm reasonably happy with the long gumboots.

He put a very strong yellow-orange inside the boots, and it made a huge difference to overall colour scheme.

I'm planning to finish this one next week.
