I went back to Yarra Bend Park again this afternoon.
Weather was very good and there wasn't much wind, so, it was a perfect day to paint outdoor.
It's just across NMIT campus and there's a lovely nursery cafe.
I really struggled to get the composition right. The problem I have now to paint in an open field like this subject is, every time I see it, I kinda lose where I have been painting.
It really requires a very keen observational skill to do that.
I still find trees very difficult to paint convincingly. I tend to end up throwing everything in and hope it will work. That's really bad.
However, I had a great day. Some people left me a compliment, that's nice.
Oil on panel. 16 x 20 in.
