'Adagio for Strings' by Samuel Barber

One of my all-time favourite piece of music was played by Nicholas Chamber Orchestra at St Michael's in city this afternoon.

Its sheer emotional beauty is unparalleled, I think.
Surely, it's a bit overused in films and TVs, but, that only shows its universal appeal.

My favourite pianist Elyane Laussade played Beethoven piano concerto No 1.
I've been to her personal recital at her studio, and she's not only an amazing artist, but also, a fascinating person to have a chat.

Also, there was a performance by soprano Maria Cristina Keightley.
Bachianas Brasileiras No 5 by Heitor Villa-Lobos.
I don't even know how to pronounce it, but, it really was a beautiful aria.
I was truly amazed by the strength of her voice.

It was a great afternoon.
