Plein Air Oil Painting

We drove to our favourite Malmsbury, about an hour drive north-west of Melbourne, this afternoon.

It's been a long time since, I don't know why, but somehow this Botanical Gardens always give us a very peaceful space & time.

We set up our easels closer to Viaduct than last time.

I had a hard time trying to get the shape right at the initial block-in. I always seem to have trouble painting straight lines.

I'm reasonably happy with this one. More than anything else, it was a beautiful summer day, and we really enjoyed being in the fields without any noise.

We'll definitely come back again soon.
