Oil Painting Lesson with Gregory Smith - Day 1

After 3 week break, I went back to the studio. 

 

This subject is very challenging. There's no 'pretty' colour, they're all in a similar tonal range. And to see very subtle shift is the most difficult thing to do, let alone render it on a canvas. 

It's not a bad start, I think.
