Earlier in the day, I drove here. It only takes 20 min from Beechworth.
I had never been here, but, somehow, I immediately liked this place.
Rod at Information Centre is extremely friendly. He said his wife is a Japanese and he took me to a very hip cafe Saint Monday. I couldn't believe there's this funky cafe in a tiny town like this one.
I went to two galleries on the main street. Sluga Gallery and Gordon Dickson Gallery. Both are great. I had a great chat with them.
Then I decided to set up my easel across the street.
I throughly enjoyed this one. It was a beautiful afternoon. Rod and his family came to say hi.
Also, Sandra and Michael from the hotel gave me a drink.
There seems a strong sense of community. Everybody seems to know each other. And there's a great art culture. I love this town. I'm planning to come back tomorrow.
I spent 3 hours on this one.
Oil on canvas. 14x18 in.
