Oil Painting lesson with Gregory Smith

Today is the last session of this term.
I reworked on the shell at front. The roundness of its front was not right. It didn't look bulging. Greg told me that its main culprit was its shadows, and then tone of the shape. It's amazing to see how much it changes by simply readjusting these parameters.

Then I changed the cloths at left. The trick is to soften the edges to make it look like a fabric.

Finally I put a finishing touch to the big one at back.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and learned a lot.

Oil on panel. 16x20in.
