Plein Air Oil Painting

I drove back to Woodlands Historic Park near Airport, this afternoon. It's an easy drive and there're plenty beautiful areas to paint. I also enjoy watching airplanes come and go with roaring sounds. 

I set up my easel at a slightly different spot this time. 

 

The light was incredible, I was very excited about this scene. You can just see air traffic tower, and I thought it could be a great point of interest in this painting although it's very far. 

I wasn't sure if I should put an airplane in or not. At the end, I did. I'm reasonably happy with this one. 

I spent 2.5 hours.
