Plein Air Oil Painting

I drove to Woodlands Historic Park, near Melbourne Airport, this afternoon.
Although it was sunny, it was very cold and windy. I tried to find a spot so that I could protect myself and easel.

This is near car park, looking forwards Melbourne Airport.
Although I put extra weight to my tripod easel, it wasn't enough. The easel collapsed twice !!  I was devastated. Also, my fingers were frozen!
It was one of those days when my patience was tested to its limits, and expletives came out of my mouth, shall I say, quite naturally.
I just love being a plein air painter.

I spent 2.5 hours.  Then I took a long walk in the park as the sun went down. That was lovely.

Oil on canvas. 14x18in.
