Plein Air Oil Painting

I drove to Pound Bend Reserve in Warrandyte this afternoon. 

I came here last week but I just couldn’t do a good job painting this view. So, I decided to try again. 

The challenge was not necessarily water, although it’s difficult, but, how to approach complicated rock formations. 

I tried to remember Greg’s advice that focus on big pictures. 

Although I’m not entirely happy with this one, it’s definitely better than the last one. 

I spent 1.5 hours.
