Images from the Studio, Marco & Debra Luccio

It's very rare, but, once in a while, I have a great pleasure to meet artists whose work I really admire.
And they turn out to be so friendly, so warm, so kind that I feel like I've known them for a long time.
I get a tremendous amount of inspirations from them.
Not only that, I get a great sense of happiness and life-affirming exhilaration.

Marco and Debra are such artists. Wonderful couple.

They had a talk together at Steps Gallery in Carlton this afternoon, titled "The Two of Us: Life as a ‘couple’ of artist"

As usual, it was a very frank and amicable session. They both have a great sense of humour.

Starting from how they met first time, how they work in studios, how they influence each other.....
Together they gave us a fantastic insight of their working life as very successful visual artists.

Just looking around all the beautiful and powerful artworks....
Marco's architectural etching. Debra's figurative prints.

At first glance, they're very different genre. But, they perfectly complement each other, compliment each other in the gallery space. I believe that is the way they are as "a couple of artist."

Their work actually share the same principle.
That is - the love for shape, colour and fluid movement.

They surely influence each other.

 It was great.
