Oil Painting lesson with Gregory Smith - Day 8

Today, I worked on short boots at front that's the main focus of this painting.
I put a few different tones here and there to create three dimensions, warmer tones for worn-out section of the boots, and cooler tones for lighter shadows.

I also changed front colour of the table to more orangey tone rather than pinkish one.

Upon Greg's recommendation, I pushed back a drapery on the left, and table top on the right to create more space. Now these objects seem to be sitting on the table more comfortably.

I did some work on the front of water pitcher so that it looks more round.

Finally, I put shoelace to complete this painting.

This is a very interesting painting, and I like these earthly subjects very much.

I'm reasonably happy with this one.

Oil on panel. 16 x 20 in.
