We went to Southbank Theatre to see this favourite dance company. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend the talk by director Rafael Bonachela. Kate said it was brilliant to get some insights into his creative mind, and some other performers'.
The first half is William Forsythe’s work 'Quintett'. It's a very touching piece with relatively slow and elegant movements. I liked it a lot. Costumes are beautiful as well.
The second half is Rafael's energetic piece with powerful but lyrical soundtrack.
It's really fascinating to see all dancers creating such splendid physical harmony in such a rapid succession. Mesmerising work of art.
I'm always in awe when I see these dancers.
It was a great evening, and highly recemmended.
